As you work through this introduction to C++, you will be testing, examining, and creating programs. In order to do this you will be utilizing an online compiler (which will be explained in greater detail later) to run your code. It's best if you can do this course on a computer (laptop or desktop). Follow the steps below to get started:
Creating an account
Access the compiler here: https://www.onlinegdb.com/online_c++_compiler
Create an account so that you can save your work. Click “Sign Up” on the left side of the screen and register with your email.
Now that you have created an account, you should have the option to save any code that you write!
Start writing and saving code
On the left toolbar, click “Create a New Project”. There should be some default code (around 10 lines) - to start learning what to write, see “2. So… How Do I Use and Code in C++?”
To save your programs, you can click on “Save” on the toolbar above where you write your code.
When you do this, you will be asked to provide a name for your project. Enter a descriptive name so you’ll remember what you were working on!
You can open any of your previous projects by clicking on “My Projects” on the left hand side of the screen, then choosing the one you want. You are also able to rename, download, and share your code, as well as create folders to organize your work.
